Relive the magic of Bob Dylan’s music through an interactive museum featuring music, memorabilia, and personal pieces from one of America’s music giants. The much-acclaimed Bob Dylan Center is newly opened in Tulsa and dedicated to the life and works of one of our greatest pop music icons. Dylan’s work, filling two-floors and 29,000-square-foot facility will give you the chance to see interesting items including a digital jukebox with 162 Dylan songs, a duffel bag of fan mail from 1966, and more than 1,000 more items. At age 80, Dylan is still traveling and active in the music scene. The center strives to inspire others to explore their own creativity without the restraint of age or abilities. Colorful and delicate glass sculptures adorn the walls and shelves at the Tulsa Glassblowing School. A two-hour glass-blowing class offers an opportunity to create something unique and special. Or watch the creative process as the glassblowers work. Instructors teach how to use basic tools to create and kiln-fire simple forms, such as ornaments and paperweights. You will carry home your beautiful, created memento from your glassblowing session. Lunch on the river and later explore some famous glass-blowing artist creations like Dale Chihuly. Pioneer Days at Har-Ber Village Grove Day Trip Fall is in the air as you remember the days of the past. Har-Ber Village is a unique living history museum off the shores of Grand Lake. With Oklahoma’s grandest lake as the backdrop, step back in time among pioneer-era craftspeople, historical displays housed in over 100 cabins with artifacts and exhibits. Stroll the grounds among reenactors and period demonstrations for an authentic Pioneer days experience. Fall Foliage & Hochatown Arts and Craft Festival This 3-day adventure will take you through the Oklahoma hills, mountains, lakes, and countryside. Experience the best Oklahoma fall foliage and beautiful vistas along the Talimena National Scenic Byway. Talimena Drive is a winding road through the Ouachita National Forest along a mountain ridge that follows the highest peaks in the area. It offers spectacular scenery like Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park. At the end of the byway is the Broken Bow resort area, where we will spend time meandering through the nationally acclaimed Beaver Bend Festival and Craft Show. The festival’s highlights include turn-of-the-century craft demonstrators, fine arts and crafts, talented folk musicians, and yummy food. Your senses will come alive as you immerse yourself in the magnificent views and sweet, fresh smells of the changing seasons.
