Bartlesville Weddings Throughout The Years

Join us as Bartlesville Area History Museum's Education Coordinator, Denise Nowlin, presents Bartlesville Weddings Throughout the Years. Take a journey through the vast photographic archives of local photographers, Frank Griggs and Bob Heil as they captured on film the timeless moments from many beautiful weddings throughout Bartlesville’s history.  Denise's interest in Bartlesville's local history began when she was a college student and worked in the historic La Quinta Mansion at Oklahoma Wesleyan University. She brings her love of learning and conducting research to the Bartlesville Area History Museum, planning educational programming and exciting field trips for the young and old alike. The Bartlesville Area History Museum is open Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (closed on weekends and holidays) at 401 S. Johnstone Avenue, 5th Floor. The Life of a Puritan Woman in Early Massachusetts

She will tell why she and the others moved to Boston and also what her life has been like since moving. She fell in love with studying history while teaching her boys. After she left the museum, she started her own business, Little History Adventures, in which she gives presentations about local, state and U.S. history. Kay is married to Harvey, has 2 sons, 2 daughters-in-law and 4 grandkids. Some of the grandkids have helped with several of her presentations. She loves sharing history with all ages.
