Volunteer Today
Volunteer to make a difference in the life of our community members!
How You Make an Impact
In a busy world, taking time to help others is rewarding in so many ways, such as:
- Satisfaction of helping someone else
- Hearing firsthand experiences of the past that shaped our future
- Sense of pride in making a difference
- Impacting someone’s life by taking the time to care
- Making friends with wonderful seniors
- Building a stronger community
- Expanding your social network
- And more!
What Volunteers Do
Our committed volunteers do a variety of different tasks for Elder Care and for the people we serve including:
- Reading to participants, helping with craft projects, playing games, or playing music in our DayBreak program.
- Answering telephones in the Elder Care offices, or helping with light office work.
- Participating in fundraising events including set up, tear down, planning, greeting, and more.
- Supporting Elder Care events and function as a greeter, at check-in, set up, tear down, and more.
These are just some of the ways you can make a difference; the difference that will allow aging adults to remain comfortable and safe in their own homes, and to remain an active part of our community.
How to Qualify
To be a volunteer all you need is the desire to help, a loving heart, and willing hands. Please consider donating your time to make a difference in an elderly person’s life and your life too!
