Stay alert!  The presentation will cover the signs of identity theft and fraud and how to protect yourself.  Presenter: Trisha Richards, VP, with ARVEST Bank. Tricia Richards began her career with Arvest in 2000 as a teller and quickly advanced throughout the years leading up to Branch Manager on the retail side. In 2013, Tricia took on the role of Arvest Treasury Management Advisor and held that position for eight years, working with local and regional businesses with corporate cash management. In 2021, Tricia became Branch Services Manager overseeing branch services and security for the Bartlesville region. Tricia is active in the community where she is a troop leader and member of the development committee for Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma. Tricia also serves on the finance committee and is a former board vice president of Splash Club. In addition, she is a graduate of Leadership Bartlesville Class XII and previously played the string bass in the Bartlesville Symphony. Tricia graduated from Bartlesville High School and holds an associate degree in liberal arts from Rogers State University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bartlesville Wesleyan College (now Oklahoma Wesleyan University). Tech Talk with Amanda

Do you find it difficult to use all the features on your cell phone? Are you confused about the differences between navigating the web on your cell phone and your laptop or desktop computers? Bring questions for Amanda to answer. Amanda French graduated from Baylor University in 2015 and currently supervises the Productivity Engineering team at Phillips 66. She can answer questions about electronic devices, safe web browsing, and other concerns related to phones, laptops, and iPads. Caregiver Support Group Meeting

Support Group Meetings Caregiver Support Group is another way that Elder Care promotes health, wellness, and independence for seniors in our community by providing caregivers accurate and up-to-date information in a supportive setting. It also features informative programs with guest speakers, videos, and discussions that focus on practical help for caregiving. Are you a Caregiver? Helping a loved one can be bewildering and daunting. You may feel concerned or alone and wonder what the future will bring during this difficult time. You may be an adult child caring for a parent or a spouse caring for your husband/wife and need support. Family members caring for a loved one and professional caregivers alike need a resource to discuss issues and ask questions in a supportive and nurturing environment. Sharing your experiences with others is a therapeutic way to overcome challenges. You are not alone, Elder Care can help. Our Meetings – Everyone is Welcome! Our Caregiver Support Group meets First Tuesday of each month @ 10:00 am to 11:00 am. How can I attend the meetings if I need to provide care for my loved one? Dinner with Friends

Catered Dinner by Chris Barnhill & Shorties Grille. Includes entrée, vegetables, a beverage, and entertainment by Andy Taylor. Andy Taylor, a fifth-generation newspaper journalist, combines his years of investigative reporting with his obsession with local history to find unique and unheard stories of northeast Oklahoma and southeast Kansas. Taylor, who is the editor of the Montgomery County Chronicle, is a graduate of the University of Kansas with a degree in journalism. he and his wife, Amy, reside in Independence. Their daughter, Lillie, is a sophomore at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond.  Cost is $13.50 per person and includes catered dinner. Triad Eye Screening at Elder Care

Elder Care hosts Triad Eye Screenings. Screenings are provided by a licensed Optometrist. Screening is for glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic eye disease, retinal diseases, external diseases of eyes and lids and dry eyes. No dilation used. Free and open to all individuals 55 and older. Seniors Connect: Healthy Cooking with the Professional

Ashtyn Lashbrook is a Registered Dietitian. She currently works as a Clinical Dietitian at Ascension Jane Phillips Medical Center. She is a graduate from University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor’s in Nutrition, Dietetics, and Food management and a Master’s in Nutrition and Food Science. The Bartlesville native has returned home after graduating college and hopes to settle down here and become a contributing member of the community. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with family. Lashbrook will prepare a healthy meal of stuffed peppers and maple-pumpkin yogurt parfait cups for each participant to take home. Seniors Connect: Aging Skin Seminar

Kori Sauer, a proud third-generation resident of Bartlesville, OK, embarked on her nursing career in 2006 after graduating from the University of Oklahoma. She gained valuable experience at Jane Phillips Medical Center, working in various areas such as med-surg, ICU, ER, and cardiac care from 2006 to 2013. In pursuit of her passion for family practice, Kori obtained her master's degree in nursing from the University of South Alabama in 2013. Following graduation, Kori joined Regional Dermatology in Bartlesville, collaborating with dermatologist Dr. David Eslicker. In  2019, she continued her dermatology journey at Hill Dermatology, working alongside Dr. Tamara Hill. With a focus on general dermatology and expertise in Botox treatments, Kori obtained her  dermatology certification in 2020, distinguishing her as the sole dermatology-certified nurse practitioner in Oklahoma at that time. Driven by her deep commitment to her community and the surrounding rural areas, Kori is passionate about delivering exceptional dermatology care of the highest quality. Kori will discuss common changes/growths on aging skin and reviewing signs/symptoms of skin cancer and precancers, among other important issues related to aging skin.
