SUMMARY:Gentle Yoga with Lesta
DESCRIPTION:Elder Care offers Gentle Yoga with Lesta. This eight-week session will focus on gentle stretching\, core strengthening\, and breathing techniques. Throughout the class\, participants will be guided through gentle stretches for core strengthening that emphasize endurance\, postural correction\, and coordinated balance. The movements may be performed while seated or on the floor\, and are suitable for both beginners or more advanced yogis. \nClasses are held Monday and Wednesday from 10:00 am to 10:50 am. Begins 8/12 and ends 10/7. The cost is $5/class or $80 for the 8-week class. The cost is prorated after the 2nd week.  No membership is required\, although a participation agreement/waiver is needed. \nOpen to all adults. A minimum of 5 enrolled participants is needed to offer each class. Registrations for the August – October class must be received by 8/7/24. Andy Taylor\, a fifth-generation newspaper journalist\, combines his years of investigative reporting with his obsession with local history to find unique and unheard stories of northeast Oklahoma and southeast Kansas. Taylor\, who is the editor of the Montgomery County Chronicle\, is a graduate of the University of Kansas with a degree in journalism. he and his wife\, Amy\, reside in Independence. Their daughter\, Lillie\, is a sophomore at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond.  Cost is $13.50 per person and includes catered dinner.
